Hiya, i`ve been having some problem and thought maybe someone know how to fix them.
It seems that after every reboot i loose some DirectX and\or Video Driver files. At least i have to reinstall dx after every reboot to get some of them back in the system ,d3dx9_29.dll error pops up when trying to start games that needs dx, windows seems to be working fine. While files themselves seem to stay in place, they are not being detected.
Also in DXdiag after reboot in Display tab all info about video drivers in the fields of Date\Version\WHQL is gone, even if it was present right after installation.
As for video drivers , it seems that i get NVIDIA Control Panel errors , mostly "Unable to load NvsuLib.dll " error from system monitor. Also when trying to update drives (169.44 or 169.25 packadges) i get Fatal Error : you are running 32bit version of uninstaller on a 64bit system , then Fatal Error : Setup Detected that operating system is not Vista 64bit , this setup is designed to run only on Vista64 , and then Fatal Error about 32bit uninstaller again. All one afte another. Sigh , i`ve uninstalled all drivers and tried to load everything again, but the only thing working is auto driver install from windows (one that installes drives for new hardware by itsef).
And yup i tried re-downloading drivers from nvidia site, and directX install from MS site, making sure i didnt mess up and got 32bit drives, no change. Tried posting on nvidia board about it but theres been no responce so far.
My system 2.4Quad Intel + 4Gb ram + EVGA GF 8800 GTS + EVGA 680i + Vista64 SP1 , any thougths appreciated
Upd: Attached after reboot DXdiag and system info files.
Seems that 32 bit unistaller issue was caused by the Program Compatibility Assistant, clicked on try installing with new settings and bam. Renamed the install folder and it seems to allow you to run setup again.
Ussiue of drivers and DX not being saved after reboot still remains though.
I realise that its more of a registry issue (probly something got corupted after BSOD) than drivers or DX one, but maybe someone can offer solution that doesnt include format c:\ its a bit of a hassle. Attachment
