Hiya everyone , just saw the news myself )) , heres what i heard so far...


Canadian Piranha Games (http://www.piranha-games.com) and Smith & Tinker ( the current owners of the MW rights http://www.smithandtinker.com/) are making MechWarrior game since last october, on U3 engine (they dont have a publisher yet , or funding as i understand)

Not a MW5 per se ,going to be bases in 3015 (before the original 1989 MW). Davion vs Kurita as i understand , urban terrain , scarcity of mechs , with main focus on survival and repair. You and ur lance. Promising co-op for the single , and a multiplayer similar to Conquest from Multiplayer BattleTech: 3025

Well ... i think its a bit too early to get all hopeful or giddy about ,since they dont seem to have anything yet but ideas and promises... but i realy realy want to )) hopefuly we will get decent MW game.

Last I heard this project was in danger due to copyright violations. Possible robotech lawsuit. I will see if I can dig something up.

After doing some further digging, here are a couple of pictures to from the two universes. Keep in mind these are old images.


This one is from the Robotech universe. It is a Destroid Tomahawk. Read more about it here http://www.robotech.com/infopedia/mecha/viewmecha.php?id=17:


and here is a Warhammer from Battletech.


The only real difference between the two is the hull number.

And after digging a bit further, it seems several other mechs were copied. Harmony Gold holds the US rights to Robotech. They sued, and then settled with Battletech back in the 1990's over copyright violations.

Too bad it looks like it's gonna be Xbox only, if it ever comes out.

I'm rockin MWLL and trying to get back into Mercs with the Mektek Packs.

And then the Pink Bunny returned, and all hell broke loose.
